I "PICK" YOU DATE plus a FREE printable

When I was a junior in high school, we were on a road trip home to Utah from Michigan. My dad saw a sign for a blueberry farm and decided to stop and pick some delicious berries. This was such a fun, unique and spontaneous experience for me. It still stands out as one of my favorite road trippin' memories. There was something special about the spontaneity and picking our own fruit... 

Scott and I have been wanting to go on a Berry Fun Date since last summer. We called around and found a place that had blackberries. We even drove way out to the farm.... Only to find out that it was closed for a special event. Say what? So you could say I've been waiting a whole year to go on this date.

This time, I designed a cute invitation for my husband and sent it to him early in the week via text and email. I also made it into a FREE printable that you can use to invite your husband or family on this Berry Fun Date. I love using fun and unique ways to invite Scott on our date nights. Anticipation makes a date so much more exciting!

On date night, head out to the fields and find those berries!! As you can see, we decided to make this a family date night. The little ones loved searching for the strawberries.

As our luck would have it, we were picking berries for about 15 minutes and then the rain came pouring down. In North Carolina, it rains big, huge drops. We were soaked within a matter of minutes. Determined to make the best of the situation, we headed back to the Farmer's Market and got some ice cream thinking that we could maybe wait it out. We had only picked about 1 quart. But of course... it just kept raining harder.

Our date night was quite the adventure...
