REAL FOOD HONEY VINAIGRETTE

Recently, I have become a huge fan of homemade salad dressing. I blame my mother-in-law. She makes the most amazing salads. Every time we go to visit, I cannot even get enough of her salads... which is totally weird because no one loves salad that much!

One of my favorite dressings comes from my husband's Aunt Lori... I guess amazing salad dressings were a family tradition. During our 30 days of real food, I modified the dressing so that it no longer had sugar in it. I will never go back!

Real Honey Vinaigrette

Ingredients
1/2 cup honey
2 Tbs dry mustard
1 tsp salt
1/3 cup cider vinegar
2 tsp onion powder
1/2 cup olive oil

Instructions
1. Add all the ingredients together and mix well.
2. Store in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
3. Serve with your favorite salad!! ;)

The honey that I added in place of the sugar makes it so the dressing lasts a lot longer and it doesn't become granulated like a normal homemade dressing with sugar. The dressing is simple and works well with a variety of salads.

Our favorite salad combination has green leaf lettuce and spinach, strawberries, avocado, pecans, parmesan cheese and the honey vinaigrette. We love to switch it up by using mangos, blueberries, apples or really any other kind of fruit. We also love to add chicken to it to add a little protein to our meal.

Serve this salad with an easy crockpot dinner:
