VANISHING JELLY MARBLES

My husband is a Geneticist and he gets really excited about science-y stuff. We did a science date night back in April and it was a blast! I love date nights when both Scott and I are really excited... So I decided that I wanted to put together a couple more Science date nights. I actually haven't gotten around to putting together these date nights, but we have been playing around with some science stuff this last month.

FIT MAMA EMILY

Hi all! I'm Emily and I blog over at Nap-Time Creations. While my blog is mostly about sewing and food, I am also very passionate about fitness and health. I was really excited to join this series, because I don't share this side of my life through my blog.

COOL WATER SENSORY BIN

I've been working a lot lately on a number of projects from home trying to make a little extra money to supplement our monthly income! Having a family while supporting your husband through school can be rough... Anyone else in the same boat???

COCONUT-LIME WAFFLES WITH STRAWBERRIES

Did you know that National Waffle Day was last Sunday?? I had no idea, but Scott and I did create the most delicious waffles I have ever tasted last weekend... coincidentally! Actually, Scott made the waffles and sliced the strawberries. While I created the creamy Coconut-Lime concoction to go on top!

FAMILY DATE NIGHT AT THE PARK

My kids love being outdoors and they especially love the park. But they don't get to go to the park with daddy too often, so its definitely a special treat when we decide to have a family date night at the park. Some of our favorite family nights are spent just chillin' at the park. However, you can do some really fun things at the park with a little time and effort. I'm here to share 6 things...

HOW TO GROW YOUR BLOG EBOOK

I'm gonna get a little personal with you in this post. When I first started this blog back in May I was scared out of my mind to put myself out there. I really didn't think that I could produce quality posts that would compare to some of the other amazing and talented bloggers out there. However, there were so many reasons why I should start this blog that I decided to stop fighting, do the research and give it a try!

My husband, Scott has been a huge supporter. He has helped me figure out html, given me advice about design and researched things that I'm just like "what???" about. We've done pretty much everything on our own, learning as we go! As I've started blogging, I've made some amazing friends and acquaintances that have willingly shared advice to help me improve. Some without me even asking! There truly are great people out there...

I've also gone searching for help and tried to really put myself out there. This has been hard, of course... stepping out of your comfort zone always is. But by doing this, I've been able to have some great experiences and learn from some very talented people, including Shauna from The Best Blog Recipes. Over the last couple of weeks I was able to help Shauna format her new ebook and get it ready for readers! And I've been learning a ton. I wish that I had this book 3 months ago.

Shauna gathered together 30+ talented bloggers that started their blogs and were able to grow quickly and become successful over a short period of time. Together, they created an ebook full of tips, tricks and tutorials about how to grow your blog starting from the very beginning. They also educate on all the different social media. As well as, provide tutorials on tools that you can use to help make blogging a little easier like PicMonkey!

When I first considered a blog, I looked for a resource like this to help me get started. I never really found any one source that had this much helpful information. This is the perfect ebook for beginners and even more experienced bloggers who need a little help growing. If you're considering starting a blog, I would highly recommend it. You can buy the book here.

FIT MAMA AMANDA

Hello! First of all, thanks Carisa for asking me to write about my personal fitness life and for creating this blog series! It’s a great way for all of us women to get inspired with staying fit and active.

To start off, you have to know I was born a “gym rat”. Both parents played college sports and sports were a HUGE part of my growing up years. Sports have really helped instill a passion and dedication to live a healthy and active lifestyle. I was also blessed to play for a top 25 Division 1 Volleyball program and play internationally as well. Those experiences introduced me to a lot of talented people with a lot of helpful fitness and nutrition tips. A few years after college, I became a personal trainer too and loved helping others achieve their goals! I am married now and a stay at home mom with two young kids.

3 INGREDIENT CARAMEL SAUCE & DIP

This is the easiest caramel sauce recipe that I've ever come across. And it's perfect for just about everything... dipping apples, smothering over ice cream, brownies, cakes, and even eating straight off the spoon. I would do it! In fact, I have!
